Lytag Aggregate (now found at Aggregate Industries) are a significant manufacturer of aggregate materials for the construction industry. They have a state-of-the-art factory located at Drax Power Station, North Yorkshire.
The Issues
Our client required significant amounts of dust removing from one of their factory buildings, in some areas up to a foot deep. The project proposed significant challenges with severe time and access constraints.
Objectives
- To remove significant amounts of dust and contaminants from the facility building while prioritising Health and Safety.
- To remain flexible throughout with regard to last minute changes due to the ongoing works by both Lytag staff and numerous mechanical and electrical contractors on site.
Results Delivered
The Kingfisher team successfully removed approximately 200 tonnes of dust and contaminants from the facility building, all within budget and by the deadline.
